Tokyo: Strong earthquake tremors were felt in Japan on Sunday. Its intensity on the Richter scale is said to be 6.6. Japan lies on top of 4 major tectonic plates. Every year about 1500 earthquakes are felt here, most of which are small.
Let us tell you that only last month, earthquake tremors were felt on Kyushu and Shikoku islands of Japan. Then its intensity was measured at 7.1 on the Richter scale.

The National Center for Seismology said that an earthquake measuring 6.5 on the Richter scale occurred in Japan on Monday. The earthquake was at a depth of 10 kilometers, 31.84 north latitude and 132.54 east longitude. Its details were shared on X.
