East Turkistan strongly opposes China-Taliban cooperation, know what is the new strategy?
Saleh Hudayar, the foreign and security minister of East Turkistan’s exiled government, has strongly criticized the growing ties between the Taliban and China, calling it “hypocrisy” and a long-term strategy against the people of East Turkistan.
Hudayar, in a post on
“The Taliban’s defense minister’s meeting with China’s ambassador exposes both the Taliban’s hypocrisy and China’s long game,” he said, adding that he condemned “in the strongest terms” the Taliban’s continued cooperation with Beijing.
Hudayar alleged that China has systematically tried to link East Turkistan’s independence movement to global terrorism since the 1990s. He called it a “calculated move” by Beijing to falsely link the movement to jihadist groups.
Hudayar also alleged that China is using labels such as the East Turkistan Islamic Movement to justify “genocide” against Uyghur and other Turkic Muslims.
“The Taliban have chosen China over Islam and will be held responsible in front of history,” he said.
