Easy way to make Cashew Paneer vegetable gravy
Ingredients to make Cashew Paneer
Paneer cubes – 1 cup
Cashew nuts – 2-3 tbsp
Butter – 1 tsp
Onion finely chopped – 1
Tomato Puree – 1 1/2 cups
Ginger-garlic paste – 1 teaspoon
Cashew paste – 2 tbsp
Cream/Malai – 2 tbsp
Cloves – 2-3
Cardamom – 2
Cumin – 1 teaspoon
Curry leaves – 1-2
Turmeric – 1/2 tsp
Red chilli powder – 1 tsp
Coriander powder – 1 teaspoon
Garam masala – 1/4 tsp
Cumin powder – 1/4 tsp
Kasuri Methi – 1 teaspoon
Green coriander leaves chopped – 2-3 tbsp
Oil – 2 tbsp
Salt – as per taste
How to make cashew cheese
The gravy of cashew paneer vegetable greatly enhances its taste. To make this, first put 2 tablespoons of oil in a pan and heat it. – After the oil is hot, add cashew nuts and fry till they turn golden. After this, take out the fried cashews in a plate. Similarly, fry the paneer and keep it aside. Now add one spoon butter in the pan and heat it. When butter melts, add curry leaves, cloves, cumin and cardamom and fry.
– After some time, add finely chopped onion and ginger garlic paste in the pan and fry while stirring. During this time, slow down the gas flame. After some time, add turmeric, coriander powder, chilli powder, cumin powder, garam masala and salt as per taste, mix well and let it cook. – Cook the spices until the aroma starts coming from it.
After this, add one and a half cup tomato puree in the pan and mix well. Now cover the pan and let the gravy cook for 10 minutes. After this, remove the lid and add cashew paste to the gravy and cook until the oil starts separating from the gravy. After this, add 2 tablespoons of cream or malai in the gravy and let it cook on low flame. – Cook the gravy after some time by adding water as required.
Add water as per your wish in the gravy and cook till it thickens a bit. Perfect gravy for cashew paneer curry is ready. Now add fried cashews and cheese, mix well and serve. If you want, you can also add cheese pieces in it without frying. Cashew Paneer Sabzi can be served any time for lunch or dinner.
