Easy ways to increase battery life of iPhone – Obnews

Nowadays, the problem of iPhone battery draining quickly has become common. Especially if your iPhone is a year or two old, draining the battery quickly becomes more common. But, do you know that by adopting some easy tips you can improve the battery life of your phone? Apple has shared some settings that can help you prevent your iPhone's battery from draining quickly.

1. Use Auto-Brightness
The Auto-Brightness feature adjusts your iPhone's screen brightness according to the surrounding light. This feature increases or decreases the brightness of the screen using the phone's in-built light sensor.

Reducing brightness in low light saves battery.
Brightness increases in high light, which provides comfort to the eyes.
This feature not only saves battery but also gives relief to your eyes.
How to turn on auto-brightness:
Go to Settings of iPhone.
Click on the Accessibility section.
Go to Display & Text Size.
Scroll down and turn on Auto-Brightness option.
Note:

Also activate the “Night Shift” feature. It reduces blue light from the screen and changes the screen color to warmer tones.
This reduces battery consumption in the evening.

2. Reduce auto-lock time
When your iPhone remains on for too long without any use, the battery drains faster. To prevent this, reduce the time of the auto-lock feature.

How to set up auto-lock:
Go to Settings.
Go to Display & Brightness section.
Scroll to Auto-Lock.
Set it as low as 30 seconds.
For iPhone 14 Pro and newer models:

If your phone has Always-On Display feature, turn it off.
This feature can drain the battery quickly because it keeps the screen on in dim light.
To turn it off, go to Settings > Display & Brightness and disable Always-On Display.

3. Manage Location Services
Location services are useful for apps that need your location. But, excessive use of GPS drains the battery very fast. For apps that don't require location, turning off this feature is a good option to save battery.

How to stop location service:
Go to Settings.
Click on Privacy & Security section.
Go to Location Services option.
Here you will find a list of apps that are using your location.
You can disable it for individual apps or turn it off completely.
