Jharkhand liquor scam: ED, which is investigating the liquor scam case under money laundering, on Tuesday interrogated all the three accused of M/s Vision Hospitality Services and Consultants Private Limited, lodged in Birsa Munda Central Jail, Hotwar, Ranchi. These accused include Paresh Abhesingh Thakor, Vikramasingh Abhesingh Thakor and Mahesh Shidge.
All three are residents of Gujarat. He was arrested by the team of ACB Jharkhand on October 14 in case number 09/2025 of ACB Ranchi related to liquor scam. In the same case of ACB, ED has registered Enforcement Case Information Report (ECIR) 10/2025 on November 28 under the PML Act.

In connection with this case, after permission from the special PMLA court, the ED team had reached Central Jail Hotwar on Tuesday to interrogate all the three accused. It is alleged that this agency had given fake bank guarantee in the contract of supply of manpower for liquor shops in Hazaribagh, Chatra and Koderma.
This caused a revenue loss of Rs 38 crore to Jharkhand State Beverages Corporation Limited (JSBCL). In its new ECIR, the ED has also accused Vinay Kumar Choubey, the then Principal Secretary of the Excise and Prohibition Department, and other officials of misuse of position and criminal conspiracy for giving contracts to favorite agencies by ignoring the rules.

M/s Vision Hospitality (Gujarat) and M/s Marshan Innovative Security Services (Maharashtra) were accused of obtaining the contract through fake bank guarantees. Earlier, Jharkhand ACB had arrested 11 accused IAS officer Vinay Kumar Choubey, Joint Commissioner Gajendra Singh, former General Manager Sudhir Kumar Das, Amit Prakash etc. and sent them to jail.
All were granted bail as the charge sheet was not filed within the stipulated 90 days. Vinay Kumar Choubey and his close aide Vinay Singh are currently in jail in the Hazaribagh land scam case.
