ED probes malpractices in ticket sales of popular music festivals in 5 states

Latest News :- The enforcement department has conducted raids in Delhi, Mumbai, Jaipur, Chandigarh and Bengaluru to stop the sale of tickets of popular music festivals at extra prices in the black market and sale of fake tickets. Singer Diljit Dosanjh's music concert took place in Delhi yesterday. Similarly, London-based rock band Coldplay will perform in Mumbai on January 18 and 19.

Cases were registered at many places that their tickets were being sold at an extra price in the fake market and the fake tickets were being sold through social media. To stop these financial irregularities, the Enforcement Department yesterday conducted raids at 13 locations in 5 states Delhi, Mumbai, Jaipur, Bengaluru and Chandigarh. Cell phones, laptops and SIM cards used for illegal sale of music concert tickets were confiscated. Investigation revealed that many people were selling fake tickets through social media like Instagram, WhatsApp and Telegram.
