ED tightened its grip on Arun Yadav in this case, property worth Rs 2 crore seized

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has tightened its noose against Arun Yadav, a leader close to Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) supremo and former Bihar Chief Minister Lalu Prasad Yadav. The investigating agency has seized his assets worth Rs 22 crore. According to information received on Wednesday, the property of former RJD MLA Arun Yadav has been seized in a money laundering case. This action has been taken in a case related to illegal sand mining.

ED had raided Arun Yadav's premises in February this year. His wife Kiran Devi is RJD MLA from Sandesh seat of Bhojpur district. Both have close relations with Lalu family. Arun's name also came up in the Land for Job case. Its investigation is going on separately. After this, ED started investigation against him in the case of illegal sand mining and money laundering related to it.

There are allegations that RJD leader Arun Yadav earned huge income from illegal sand mining. The name of his company is Durga Construction Private Limited. Through this, he had purchased five flats in Danapur by paying Rs 2.56 crore. These flats were in the name of former CM Rabri Devi. It is being told that this deal was done to avoid income tax action. However, investigation into the case is still ongoing.
