The teaser of Eetha released on Monday and quickly gained attention for its strong emotional theme and dramatic visuals. The film features Indian actress Shraddha Kapoor in the role of legendary lavani and tamasha performer Vithabai Bhau Mang Narayangaonkar.
The teaser began with a stage performance where lavani artists were seen performing. Soon after, the scene shifted when an angry crowd demanded that Eetha be brought on stage.
Visuals then showed Eetha backstage preparing for her performance while being nine months pregnant. The teaser moved into intense moments as she went into labour, showing her in pain while still focused on her stage commitment.
A voiceover in the teaser was heard saying she should avoid performing due to health risks. However, the character was shown insisting on going ahead, determined to continue despite the situation.
After giving birth, she was seen returning to the stage. The visuals then showed her growing influence and strong presence in the industry as audiences cheered her performances.
The teaser ended with a voiceover calling her a “toofan”, highlighting her powerful impact and legacy.
The film is directed by Laxman Utekar and also features Randeep Hooda and Anant Joshi in key roles. It is produced under Maddock Films.
The makers have confirmed that Eetha will release in cinemas on August 28.
