Eight killed in Israeli attacks in Gaza

At least eight Palestinians were killed in Israeli attacks on areas of the Gaza Strip, according to local civil defense and medical sources.

Gaza civil defense spokesman Mahmoud Bassal said three people were killed in an Israeli drone strike targeting a crowd of Palestinians in the al-Shati refugee camp west of Gaza City, Xinhua news agency reported.

In a separate attack, two Palestinians were killed in an airstrike in the al-Karama neighborhood, northwest of Gaza City, and two more were killed in an Israeli strike in the al-Shujaiya neighborhood, east of Gaza City.

Additionally, medical sources reported that a young man died in the town of Jabaliya in northern Gaza, where witnesses confirmed he was injured by Israeli artillery targeting the area.

The Palestinian Foreign Ministry on Sunday accused Israel of prolonging its war through a “game of buying time” to facilitate “genocide, displacement and annexation” and called on the international community to take immediate action to stop the violence. called upon.

Against the backdrop of the ongoing conflict, preparations are underway for an international conference to mobilize support for Gaza's residents. Mahmoud Ata, Undersecretary of the Palestinian Ministry of Planning and International Cooperation, announced plans for the reconstruction of Gaza, emphasizing coordination with international partners such as the United Nations, the European Union, and the World Bank.

According to Ata, the Palestinian government has prioritized immediate humanitarian assistance and long-term reconstruction, drafting a recovery plan for the next three years and a ten-year development plan to be completed by March.

A Lebanese military source earlier said three people were killed in an Israeli air strike targeting a group of people near Shebaa Farms in southern Lebanon.

An Israeli drone fired an air-to-ground missile into the Bastar region, south of Shebaa city, resulting in the deaths, the source told Xinhua on Sunday, speaking on condition of anonymity.

In a statement on Saturday, the Israel Defense Forces said its air force identified and attacked three “suspects” near the Shebaa Farms area captured by Israel.
