New Delhi: A very painful and worrying case has come to light from Okhla area of Delhi, which has shocked the local people. Three minor boys aged 12 to 13 years have been detained and arrested by the police for allegedly gang-raping an eight-year-old girl. After the incident came to light, an atmosphere of tension was created in the area, due to which the police has increased security.
According to the police, on Saturday a woman called the Okhla Industrial Area police station and informed about the incident that happened with her daughter. The woman alleged that three minor boys living in the neighborhood sexually assaulted her eight-year-old daughter. As soon as the information was received, the police team reached the spot and talked to the girl and gathered information about the entire incident.
According to the police officer, the girl told that the accused boys had taken her to a secluded place, where she was sexually assaulted on Saturday. The girl also told that this incident did not happen only on that day. She told that on Thursday and Friday also the boys had taken her to an isolated place, where they made her remove her clothes and tried to rape her. Also, they had intimidated her so that she would not tell anyone about this.
Doctors confirmed
After this the girl gathered courage and told the entire incident to her mother. Hearing this, the mother became very upset and immediately informed the police. After this, the police took the matter seriously and started investigation. After this, the police sent the victim to the government hospital for medical examination. The investigation conducted by the doctors confirmed that the girl had been sexually assaulted.
After this, the police called the girl and her mother to the police station and started the counseling process, so that the girl could get mental support and feel safe. Also, keeping in mind the sensitivity of the matter, the police officers proceeded with the entire process with caution.
All three accused arrested after interrogation
After getting information about the incident, the police called the three minor boys for questioning. Many important things came to light during the initial inquiry. After this, the police completed the legal process and arrested all three. Officials say that the investigation of the case is still going on and evidence is being collected keeping all the aspects in mind. During investigation it was also revealed that all the three accused boys had left the school.
Case registered under these sections
In this case, the police have registered a case of gang rape under section 70 of the Indian Justice Code (BNS) and criminal intimidation under section 351. Apart from this, Section 6 of the POCSO Act, made to prevent sexual crimes against children, has also been imposed. This section is applied in cases related to serious sexual crimes. Police say that further legal action will be taken after the investigation is completed.
