Eileen Gu’s alleged dating app profile goes viral

A screenshot widely circulated on X on March 5 via the account @zoomyzoomm has already surpassed five million views.

The viral image displays a Raya profile under Gu’s name with a bio: “Pro skier and model, Stanford University. 2x Olympic gold medalist & model w IMG. I like cats & philosophy & white truffle oil & running & physics!”

The post quickly sparked hundreds of reactions from intrigued fans. While many expressed excitement at the prospect of the elite athlete joining the dating pool, others debated the authenticity of the profile, noting that neither Gu nor her representative has confirmed it.

One user chimed in to ask if Eileen Gu was indeed single on Raya.

“Is Eileen Gu single on Raya?”, an account commented. “Stanford graduate, Olympic, model, philosopher, and a specialist in white truffle oil. Good luck everyone!”

The original poster, @zoomyzoomm, humorously replied that nobody gets a chance with her.

Another user said with a profile like that, even top-tier celebrities and athletes might hesitate before sliding into Gu’s direct messages.

The viral post shows Gu’s massive global appeal following her stellar performance at the 2026 Winter Olympics in Italy. The 22-year-old secured a gold medal in the halfpipe and silver medals in both slopestyle and big air. This recent haul elevated her total Olympic medal count to six, cementing her legacy as the most decorated freestyle skier in the sport’s history.

Gu was in San Francisco in 2003 to an American father and a Chinese mother. Her decision to represent China instead of the U.S. in 2019 sparked controversy, drawing criticism from American public opinion, while in China, she became a sports and pop culture icon.

Off the slopes, Gu juggles between her physics studies at Stanford University and a high-profile modeling career under IMG. She has become a highly influential figure for the youth by seamlessly blending high-performance athletics, elite academics and high fashion.

Unlike mainstream apps such as Tinder, Raya operates as a highly exclusive, members-only platform tailored for celebrities, influencers and high-profile professionals in the creative and sports industries. To become a member, users must submit an application, which is then assessed by an internal committee, resulting in a low acceptance rate.

As a record-breaking Olympian, international model and Stanford student, Gu fits the app’s demographic perfectly.

Meanwhile, Gu’s athletic future remains bright. With the next Winter Olympics slated for 2030 in the French Alps, she is expected to remain a dominant force in freestyle skiing events.
