Ekta Kapoor has opened up about expanding into OTT platforms with several new shows in development for viewers worldwide.
Discussing her future projects she said that a lot of them are still in the pipeline although nothing has been fully confirmed. “I am making some shows. They haven’t been announced yet. But I am working on it.”
She also spoke about her intention to take Indian storytelling to international viewers through these projects. “I am very excited because my stories will be spread all over the world. And I want the whole world to listen to our Indian creators’ stories. So, I want everyone to watch the shows I’m making, be it in Korea, Japan, Africa or America. Everyone should watch the Indian creators’ stories.”
Ekta has established her presence in the Hindi TV industry through her work on multiple successful television shows which include Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi and Naagin.
The production company Balaji Telefilms which she founded has produced various family drama shows and different genre based television programs which achieved great popularity among viewers throughout India.
Ekta is working on some upcoming products, which include Bhooth Bangla, which has been scheduled for release on the 17th of April.
