Election Commission launches ECINet app, everything from voter to candidate at one place
ECINet App Launch: Election Commission of India has officially launched ECINet App, bringing digital facilities related to elections on one platform. This app was launched during the International Conference of Election Management Bodies held at Bharat Mandapam in Delhi. On this occasion, Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar invited election management institutions around the world to join this digital initiative of India.
Every information from voter to candidate is real-time
Now common citizens will get every important information related to elections in real-time through ECINet app. Everything from voter list, candidates’ details, affidavits, polling station information to voting percentage will be available in a single app. This will curb rumors during elections and increase transparency.
Better app made from people’s suggestions
The beta version of ECINet app was used during Bihar Assembly elections. At that time, suggestions were sought from the common people, on which more than 15,000 suggestions were received. Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar said, “We welcome the suggestions and will continue to work to improve ECINet.”
Impossible to hack, strong security
Election Commissioner Dr. Sukhbir Singh Sandhu said that in today’s time, apps have become an important part of our lives, in such a situation the election process also cannot remain separate from it. He said in clear words, “It is impossible to hack the ECINet app.” This statement has further strengthened people’s confidence in the cyber security of the app.

According to Election Commissioner Dr. Vivek Joshi, the role of technology in planning and election management is increasing rapidly. ECINet app is a big step in this direction, which will further strengthen public confidence in the electoral system.
