Taking action, the Commission has removed Rashmi from the post with immediate effect and ordered her transfer. Along with this, the Chief Secretary has been instructed to hand over the charge to the next senior IPS officer in the cadre.

The Chief Secretary has also been directed to send a panel of three IPS officers by 1 pm on Tuesday, November 5 for appointment to the post of DGP of Maharashtra.
