Maharashtra’s 29 municipal corporation election dates announced, voting on January 15, result on January 16
Mumbai The election dates of 29 municipal municipalities including BMC in Maharashtra have been announced. The State Election Commission said that elections will be held on January 15 and counting of votes will be held on January 16, 2026. Whereas nominations will be held from December 23 to December 30, 2025.

The last elections were held in Mumbai in 2017. The tenure of the elected body in Mumbai was to end in 2022. Maharashtra State Election Commissioner Dinesh Waghmare held a press conference at Sahyadri Guest House in Malabar Hill to announce the election dates.
