Elle Fanning reveals her Oscars date ahead of big night
Elle Fanning has already decided who she is bringing as her plus one to the 2026 Academy Awards.
The American actress earned her first Oscar nomination as a Best Supporting Actress for her work in Sentimental Value. Speaking with PEOPLEElle reveals her preparation for the big night.
“My mom is coming with me. I’m looking forward to picking out her dress,” the actress shared with the outlet.
There’s still much to get done, as Elle still has not yet planned out her outfit.
“We have not decided what that’s going to be yet,” she added sarcastically.
Elle also shared about her nomination morning, which was a family affair, and she can clearly remember it.
The Maleficent star recalled that she and her sister Dakota Fanning “went out the night before.” She added, “We stayed out pretty late, and then we crashed at our mom’s house, so I was running on two hours of sleep.”
Elle woke up to her phone lighting up with the news, and she couldn’t believe it was real, as she was almost half asleep.
The actress joked that she looked like a “crazed zombie” in her nightgown.
“I ran into my sister’s room and I told her, and she was freaking out,” Elle continued. “She’s like, ‘What do you mean? What do you mean?’ And I’m like, ‘Look it up, look it up!’ Because I didn’t believe it until I saw it. So I was like, ‘Look it up, this must be a mistake.'”
Oscars will stream live on Sunday, March 15, at 7 p.m. ET on ABC and Hulu
