Research revealed dangerous reality
This shocking estimate has come to light in the research of Center for Countering Digital Hate (CCDH). The report said that some people are misusing Grok AI by uploading pictures of unknown people and celebrities and giving prompts to convert them into obscene images. The surprising thing is that this AI tool is creating such pictures without any strict restrictions, which has angered the people.
When and how was the data assessed?
According to the analysis of digital intelligence company Periton Intelligence, this trend became increasingly viral with the beginning of the new year. It reached its peak on January 2, when 1,99,612 separate requests were recorded in a single day. CCDH conducted a full assessment of the content created by Grok AI between December 29, 2025 and January 8, 2026.
Government’s strictness, punishment fell on Grok
After the ever-increasing controversy, Grok AI became the target of governments and common people. After the obscene images surfaced, the company limited the image generation feature to only paid users on January 9. After this, UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer called this entire matter “disgusting” and “shameful” Agreement was reached, after which more stringent restrictions were imposed.
