Elon Musk’s big success: Successful flight of Starship gives new impetus to NASA’s Moon Mission and Mars Mission

New Delhi. SpaceX has once again achieved a major feat in the world of space science and has successfully completed the 13th test flight of the world’s largest and most powerful rocket, Starship rocket. The most special thing about this mission was that for the first time, the company successfully deployed 20 of its most advanced Starlink internet satellites in space through Starship. This success is being considered very important not only for SpaceX but also for the global space industry and NASA’s future lunar missions. Now this mission is indicating that the dream of sending humans back to the Moon and to Mars in the future is fast getting closer to reality.

The giant Starship rocket, about 407 feet high, took off from SpaceX’s Starbase launch site in Texas. Earlier, the mission had to be postponed twice due to technical fault in the engine and bad weather, but this time both the weather and technical system cooperated and the rocket took off successfully. All engines operated completely normally during the initial phase of launch, giving the mission a strong start.

  • However, the return of the first stage, i.e. the booster, during the flight could not go exactly as planned. During return, all engines failed to reactivate, causing the booster to fall into the Gulf of Mexico instead of making a controlled landing. Despite this, the main objective of the mission was completely successful as after separation from the booster, Starship reached the prescribed altitude and successfully placed all 20 state-of-the-art Starlink satellites in space one after the other at an altitude of about 200 kilometers.

After completing the flight of about an hour, Starship was also successful in making a safe splashdown in the Indian Ocean. The special thing was that after landing in water, the spacecraft remained floating on the surface for some time, which gave the engineers an opportunity to gather many important technical information. After this success, SpaceX scientists and engineers called it a major technical achievement for the company.

The new Starlink satellites sent in this mission successfully established contact with the satellites already in space through laser technology. This will help in further improving the speed and quality of internet service in future. Currently, more than ten thousand Starlink satellites of SpaceX are providing high speed internet service in many countries of the world and it has become the largest satellite network in the world.

During the mission, scientists also conducted important tests of the Starship’s heat shield. Cameras on some satellites sent images of the heat shield during re-entry into Earth’s atmosphere, while sensors collected data on extreme temperatures and pressures. This information will be used to make future manned missions safer.

This mission is also very important for NASA because in the upcoming Artemis III mission, this same starship is to be used to take astronauts to the surface of the Moon. On the other hand, Elon Musk’s biggest dream is to send humans to Mars through starships and establish human settlements there in the future. In such a situation, this successful test flight of Starship is being considered as another strong step towards the new era of space exploration.
