Emergency landing of flight with 146 passengers made from Chennai airport, arrangements for second plane made

Chennai-Malaysia flight had to make an emergency landing shortly after take off on Thursday. It has been told by the officials that emergency lighting of the aircraft has been done in Chennai. Immediately after departure, a technical fault was found in the aircraft, after which an emergency landing was immediately made.

The plane had departed on Wednesday night

The Malaysian Airlines flight had departed from Chennai airport on Wednesday night with 146 passengers. When the plane was still midway, the pilot discovered a technical fault. The pilot realized that it was not without danger to take the plane further, after which he informed the Chennai ATC and asked for permission to land.

After this the plane landed at Chennai airport at around 2.30 am. The passengers were stopped in the waiting hall. Later 80 passengers were flown from Chennai to Kuala Lumpur on another flight. The rest were accommodated in hotels.
