Encounter between police and TPC militants in Chatra, two including sub zonal commander killed, AK-47 recovered

Chatra: On Wednesday night, a massive encounter took place between the police and TPC militants in the Ganiyotri forest located on the border of Vashishthanagar Jori police station area. In this encounter, there was heavy firing from both sides in which TPC Sub Zonal Commander Harendra Ganjhu and Ishwari Ganjhu were killed. During the encounter, the police recovered an AK-47 and a country-made pistol from them.

On the basis of secret information received by SP Vikas Pandey, a search operation was conducted in Ganiyotri forest under the leadership of SDPO Sandeep Suman. During this time, there was a police encounter with the squad of TPC Sub Zonal Commander Harendra Ganjhu and the police killed two Naxalites. Earlier on February 8, 2024, there was an encounter between the police and Harendra Ganjhu's squad in Chatra in which two police personnel were martyred. Among the martyred soldiers, Sukan Ram was from Tarshi, Palamu, while Sikandar Singh was from Wazirganj, Gaya.
