Regarding the encounter, officials said that during the operation, a huge quantity of arms, ammunition and a 'self-loading' rifle were recovered from the encounter site and a landmine was detected. He said that the number of killed Maoists may increase. Inspector General of Police of Raipur area Amresh Mishra said that continuous encounter is going on in the area for the last 24 hours. Mishra said that many top Naxalites are likely to be killed in this encounter. A Cobra soldier has been shot and is being treated in Raipur.
