Encounter in Lucknow: Ghazipur police have a direct encounter with the miscreants, chain robber arrested after being shot in the leg

Lucknow. Ghazipur Police and Crime Team have got a big success under the policy of zero tolerance against criminals in the capital of Uttar Pradesh. Police caught two vicious robbers after a sensational encounter that took place on Sarvodaya Nagar Bandha Road in the early hours of Sunday. In this retaliatory firing, a miscreant was shot in the leg, who has been admitted to the hospital for treatment.

Seeing the siege, miscreants opened fire on the police

On the instructions of DCP East, Ghazipur Police and Crime Team had received information that the vicious robbers who were carrying out the incidents of chain robbery were going from Kalyan Apartment towards Shakti Nagar Dhal on Scooty. As soon as the information was received, the police team started an intensive checking operation near Bandha Road Mazar. Then two suspects riding a scooter were seen coming. When the police signaled them to stop, the miscreants tried to turn the scooter in a hurry and fell down. Seeing himself surrounded, the miscreant sitting behind opened fire on the police team with the intention of killing him.

Vicious criminal Ranu injured in retaliation

The police retaliated in self-defense, in which the criminal Mohammad Ranu (27 years), sitting behind, was shot in the leg. Ranu is a resident of Haruni Masjid located near MLA intersection of Chinhat police station area. The police immediately sent him to Balrampur Hospital for first aid. At the same time, his companion Rizwan (26 years old), resident of Madiyav, who was driving the scooter, was efficiently arrested by the police by cordoning off the spot.

Stolen scooter and illegal weapons recovered

The police have recovered many materials related to the crime world from the arrested accused. During the search, two pieces of recently looted gold chain, a stolen scooter used in the crime, two illegal pistols, one spent cartridge and three live cartridges were recovered from the miscreants. The police is now trying to find out in which areas of the city these miscreants have committed robbery incidents.

Strict action continues against criminals

According to Lucknow Police, both the arrested criminals are professional robbers and many cases are likely to be registered against them before. The local people have heaved a sigh of relief due to this action taken in Sarvodaya Nagar area. The police have made it clear that the criminals who spread terror on the streets of the capital will not be spared at any cost.
