Eng vs Pak T20 World Cup: England became the first team to reach the semi-finals, defeated Pakistan by two wickets.

Pakistan won the toss and batted first and scored 164 runs. England had a bad start but captain Harry Brook did wonders. He scored a quick century due to which the team won the match in the last over. This victory makes England the first team to reach the semi-finals while Pakistan is now in a difficult situation.

Pakistan’s initial batting was disappointing

Pakistan’s start was disappointing. Sam Ayub was out on 14 runs in the third over. Captain Salman Aga also returned to the pavilion in the next over. After this Sahibzada Farhan and Babar Azam took over. Babar was out after scoring 25 runs in 24 balls. Farhan completed his half-century in 37 balls but the team stopped in the middle overs.

Pakistan completed 100 runs in the 14th over and Farhan scored a fifty. He was out in the 16th over after scoring 63 runs in 45 balls. Fakhar Zaman went after scoring 25 runs. Usman Khan and Mohammad Nawaz were out without opening the account in the 18th over. Shaheen Afridi also got out early in the last overs. Pakistan could score only 164 runs for 9 wickets in 20 overs.

England’s bad start

England had a very bad start while chasing the target of 165 runs. Phil Salt was out on the first ball of the first over. Jos Buttler and Jacob Bethel also returned to the pavilion early.
