Yogi government is ensuring healthy future of children, modern equipment will be used for malnutrition and growth monitoring of children.
Lucknow. To ensure the healthy future of children in UP, the Yogi government is paying special attention to Anganwadi centers under the nutrition campaign. More than 1 lakh 33 thousand modern equipment, stadiometers, will soon be made available at Anganwadi centers across the state for regular monitoring of children’s health. With the help of these devices, accurate information about the height of children is being obtained, which helps in correctly assessing their nutritional level.

Modern tools for growth monitoring
Many modern equipment have been made available by the state government for growth monitoring at Anganwadi centres. More than one lakh 88 thousand stadiometer instruments were supplied in the year 2021 and 2022. The height of children above 2 years of age is accurately assessed through stadiometer. With the help of this equipment, regular monitoring of children’s development is becoming possible and malnutrition is being identified in time. The government believes that proper care of health and nutrition in childhood lays the foundation of a strong society. With this objective, the Anganwadi system is being strengthened technically to provide better health services to lakhs of children of the state.
Attack on malnutrition with the help of technology
Yogi government has made technology an important weapon in the ongoing fight against malnutrition. Modern growth monitoring devices are being used to monitor the growth of children at Anganwadi centers in the state. District Program Officers and Child Development Project Officers have been trained as master trainers to operate these devices. After this, Anganwadi workers and head maids have also been given training through them, so that the health of children can be assessed scientifically. This is not only providing accurate information about the growth of children but is also helping in taking necessary steps related to nutrition in time.
