Entry of third party and rebellion in Congress, will the game be played again in Haryana?
The stir has once again intensified in the politics of Haryana. According to the current numerical strength, BJP and Congress should have fielded one candidate each for the two seats of Rajya Sabha, but BJP is once again working on its old script. On the same old script through which Satish Nandal and Subhash Chandra had registered victory and that too despite not having the required numbers. Now the Congress party is again in trouble and if BJP wins this time too, it will be considered a big defeat for the Congress.
Rajya Sabha seat- 2
BJP candidate- Sanjay Bhatia
Congress candidate- Karambir Buddhist
Independent candidate- Satish Nandal

BJP played a game yesterday
It is an old script of Bharatiya Janata Party to win the Rajya Sabha elections that the party fields one of its leaders as an independent candidate. The same strategy was adopted to win Karthikeya Sharma and Subhash Chandra. Before nomination yesterday morning, Sanjay Bhatiya reached Chandigarh Sant Kabir Kutir to meet CM Nayab Singh Saini. From there he went to file his assembly nomination.
Meanwhile, news came out that apart from Sanjay Bhatia, BJP has also called a businessman to Chandigarh leaving all his work behind. After some time it came to light that BJP leader Satish Nandal has been asked to file nomination with all the documents. According to sources, he also met CM Saini at the CM residence.
CM Saini went to file nomination with BJP candidate Sanjay Bhatia. By evening, Satish Nandal also filed his nomination as an independent candidate. Let us tell you that Satish Nandal has filed his nomination as an independent candidate because BJP does not have the required number of MLAs. She can win only one seat and for the other seat she will have to defeat the Congress MLAs.
Will Satish Nandal be able to win?
The total strength of Haryana Assembly is 90. To win one seat, votes of 31 MLAs will be required. Congress has 37 MLAs and BJP has 48 MLAs. Apart from this, BJP has also got the support of 3 independent candidates. Overall BJP has 51 votes. Now, on the strength of so many MLAs, it is certain that BJP’s Sanjay Bhatia will go to Rajya Sabha, but Satish Nandal, who has fielded as an independent candidate, will have to work hard.
Satish Nandal will get votes from 17 BJP and 3 independent MLAs. In such a situation, he will have to bring at least 9 Congress MLAs and one INLD MLA into his fold. He will get the votes of BJP MLAs but he will have to work hard to break these 9 MLAs. However, many Congress leaders are angry and in such a situation their problem may become easier.
One thing in favor of Satish Nandal is that he is a staunch opponent of Bhupendra Singh Hooda. In 2009, 2014, he had contested the assembly elections against Hooda on INLD ticket and in 2019 on BJP ticket. In such a situation, he hopes that he can win over some anti-Huda Congress MLAs to his side. Even during nomination yesterday, only 34 MLAs of the party had arrived and 3 MLAs remained absent.
split in congress
Whatever happens in every small and big election in the Congress Party is happening in this election also. When the name of one candidate has been decided, all the other potential candidates and their supporters have become angry. Former CM Bhupendra Singh Hooda may be saying that all the MLAs will vote for Karambir Singh Boudh, but there are signs of division within the party. OBC Congress working president Teluram Jangra has resigned from the Congress party.
He said that his name, Rao Dan Singh and Udaybhan’s name from the OBC community were among the possible candidates but the party gave the ticket to someone else instead of the OBC. Now the challenge before Bhupendra Singh Hooda and State President Narendra is to get all the 37 Congress MLAs to vote in favor of the party candidate in this election. If this does not happen then both these leaders along with the party leadership will be in trouble.

BJP has won elections before also
Congress’s problems have increased because BJP has won elections earlier also despite not having the number of MLAs. In 2016 and 2022, BJP worked on the same script and won both times. In 2016, BJP had fielded Chaudhary Birendra Singh and Subhash Chandra as independent candidates. During voting, votes of 12 Congress MLAs were declared invalid and Subhash Chandra won the election.
In 2022, BJP once again worked on the 2016 script. For two seats, BJP fielded Krishnalal Panwar as party candidate and Karthikeya Sharma as independent candidate. Congress leader Ajay Maken was made the candidate by the party. Some Congress MLAs did cross voting and the result was that the party was defeated and Karthikeya Sharma reached Rajya Sabha. Now BJP is working on the same script again.
