Enzo Fernández ruled out of Man City clash despite apology

Chelsea midfielder Enzo Fernández will not be part of the squad for the crucial clash against Manchester City, despite issuing an apology to the club and coaching staff. The decision was confirmed by manager Liam Rosenior, who addressed the situation in a recent statement.

Rosenior made it clear that Fernández remains out of contention for Sunday’s game, indicating that internal matters are still being resolved. “Enzo will not play on Sunday. Hopefully after that, he will be a massive part. There is a few hurdles we need to overcome,” he said.

The Argentine midfielder had earlier apologised following an undisclosed issue, holding talks with both the manager and the club. Rosenior acknowledged the positive nature of their discussion but stressed that more steps are required before Fernández can return to action.

“We had a really good conversation. He’s apologised to me as same to the club. We will see next week,” Rosenior added, leaving the door open for a possible return in the coming fixtures.
