Epstein case heated up again in American politics, Hillary Clinton hit back at Trump during appearance

New Delhi: Jeffrey Epstein’s case is once again in the headlines in American politics. This time, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton had to appear before the US House Committee and give an explanation. He clearly said that he never had any connection with Jeffrey Epstein and has no knowledge about his criminal cases. There has been a long-running debate in Washington regarding documents related to Epstein and his influential contacts.

The Republican-led US House Oversight Committee is investigating the sex trafficking scandal and Epstein’s network. In this connection, summons were sent to Hillary Clinton. The committee suspected that he might have some important information related to the case. In her statement from Chappaqua, New York, Hillary said that she had previously made it clear that she had neither knowledge of Epstein’s dealings nor any activity related to his associate Ghislaine Maxwell.

‘I have never met’

Hillary Clinton reiterated that she did not recall ever meeting Epstein. He said that he neither traveled in her private plane nor visited her island, home or office. He said that he has nothing to add in this matter. He also said that the committee’s stance seems to be politically motivated.

Targeted at Trump

During the hearing, Hillary alleged that this investigation was being used to divert attention from the alleged relationship between former President Donald Trump and Epstein. He demanded from lawmakers that the investigation should be impartial and that Trump should be directly questioned about his relationship with Epstein.

Hillary Clinton also said that all documents related to the case should be made public, but full care should be taken to identify and protect the victims. Taking the names of Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Attorney General Pam Bondi, he said that if necessary, they should also testify before the committee.
