Epstein Files Case: Former US President Bill Clinton testified on connection with Jeffrey Epstein, said – no one is above the law

Epstein Files Case: Former US President Bill Clinton testified before the House Oversight Committee on his ties to Jeffrey Epstein. Clinton told a congressional panel that she “saw nothing wrong,” and “did nothing wrong” regarding late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. At a day-long hearing behind closed doors in New York, the former president was asked about his name in newly released files on the financier, which also included a photo of him posing with an unknown man in a hot tub.

The former president’s testimony came a day after his wife, former US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, told the committee that she too had “no knowledge” of Epstein’s crimes. Being named in the files is not an indication of wrongdoing, nor has Clinton been accused of wrongdoing by the Epstein survivors revealed so far. Clinton said that if she had “the slightest idea about what Epstein was doing, she would have severed all ties with him and would never have boarded his plane.”

After testifying before the House Oversight Committee, Bill Clinton released a video saying, “I just testified before the House Oversight Committee. I did it for two reasons. First – I love our country, including our Constitution, and America is built on the idea that no one is above the law, even the president, especially presidents, and we should all live under the same rules.”
