In fact, the powerful and debauched faces of the West, who were accused of minor exploitation, sex trafficking and luxury lifestyle, were personally admirers of some special methods related to the ancient medical system of India. Epstein’s private network, islands and high-end retreats boast not only expensive wine and private jets, but also Ayurvedic therapy, herbal treatments and so-called ‘vitality boosting’ procedures.
The question is whether the elite of the West really adopted Ayurveda as a health science? Or used it as an ‘exotic tool’ to increase libido, energy and luxury? This link hidden in the Epstein Files is now giving a new turn to the global debate on Indian medicine.
The recently released Epstein files include thousands of documents related to Jeffrey Epstein, which were released following a law signed by President Donald Trump. The Epstein files released by the US Department of Justice mention massage techniques and Indian Ayurveda. The US Justice Department on Friday made public thousands of documents related to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, following a bill signed by US President Donald Trump last month ordering their release within 30 days.
Why is Ayurvedic medicine mentioned?
The evidence released by the department includes material related to the use of Ayurvedic methods for massage and detoxification. A document in the files states that ‘Many practitioners in the West are now offering massages and other treatments based on this 5,000-year-old system of natural healing from India.’ The files also include articles titled ‘The Art of Giving Massage’, which discuss the use of sesame oil as part of detoxification treatments rooted in the Ayurvedic tradition.
4000 files on DOJ website
The US Department of Justice (DOJ) released the first part of files related to infamous financier and sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. People were waiting for its release for a long time under a law signed by President Trump last month. The committee is expected to shed new light on Epstein’s ties to powerful people and how authorities investigated his crimes. About 4,000 files appeared on the department’s website, most of which were photographs.
The Epstein files include photographs taken by the FBI during searches of Epstein’s homes in New York and the US Virgin Islands, as well as call logs, court records and documents previously shared with congressional committees. Much of the material has already been publicly disseminated through previous court cases.
The DOJ identified more than 1,200 victims and relatives during the investigation. A list of 254 masseuses linked to Epstein was included, but was completely redacted. Among the things that have come under scrutiny in the now released files are a series of photographs of former US President Bill Clinton as well as a photo of Epstein with late pop star Michael Jackson. Some pictures of Trump have also been shown.
