Norway’s Erling Holland has overtaken Cristiano Ronaldo in terms of scoring most goals in the English Premier League (EPL). Holland overtook Ronaldo by scoring two goals against West Ham while playing for Manchester City. He now has 104 goals in EPL. Whereas Ronaldo scored 103 goals while playing for Manchester United.
Holland is the fastest player in EPL history to reach 50 and then 100 goals. He is rapidly moving up the list of top goal scorers of the league. After defeating Ronaldo, his target will be Alan Shearer’s (260 goals) record. Holland scored one goal each in both halves against West Ham, taking his goal tally to 19 in 17 matches this season.

Mbappe equaled Ronaldo
Star striker Kylian Mbappe equaled a major record of Cristiano Ronaldo on his 27th birthday. Mbappe has scored 59 goals for Real Madrid in the year 2025. He has reached par with Ronaldo in terms of scoring the most goals for this club in a year. Ronaldo did this feat in 2013.
It seemed almost impossible for French striker Mbappe to catch up with Ronaldo, as Real Madrid came to play the last match of this year. However, Mbappe equalized for Ronaldo by converting a penalty kick 4 minutes before the end of the match, giving Real Madrid a 2–0 win over Sevilla. After scoring the record goal, Mbappe celebrated in the same style as Ronaldo.

Mbappe said, ‘What Cristiano did is incredible. He is my idol. He has been the best player in the history of Real Madrid. This celebration of mine is dedicated to him.
