Palamu, October 18 (HS). Pramesh Kushwaha, the nodal officer of sweep under Garhwa sweep cell, held a meeting with the people of Kinnar community and requested them to provide the required cooperation in voter awareness for the upcoming assembly 2024. Also, topics like how they will contribute in the upcoming assembly were discussed in detail. The Kinnar community also showed special interest and expressed their eagerness to cooperate in the voter awareness campaign.
It is noteworthy that a voter awareness program has been specially scheduled for the transgender community on 22nd October under the sweep calendar. It was told by Radha Guru Maa of Kinnar community that we go to various social events, there also we will run voter awareness campaign and motivate people to vote. We will also run activities for voter awareness by reaching the Chowk, Crossroads, Market Market, wherever a good crowd of people gathers.
Expressing special gratitude towards the Election Commission and the District Administration, he said that for the first time they have been included in a big festival of democracy like elections, due to which the transgender community is very happy.
JSLPS DPM Vimlesh Shukla, Project Economist Kshama Priya, Assistant Project Officer Siya Janaki Singh, Vikas Kumar Verma, Neha Nutan Lakra and Julie Kinnar, Lipi Kinnar, Chandni Kinnar etc. from Kinnar community were present on the occasion.
