The popularity of this film, which has earned more than Rs 1300 crore worldwide, is not stopping. The special thing is that even in the countries where there is an official ban on the film, its craze has not diminished.

Trending on Netflix, huge discussion in Pakistan

As soon as ‘Dhurandhar’ was streamed on Netflix, it reached the top of the global trending charts. People are watching it in large numbers in Pakistan also. Reels are being made on the songs and dialogues of the film on social media.

Although there is an official ban on Indian films in Pakistan, despite this the film remains in discussion there.

Video went viral from Karachi market

New Zealand YouTuber Karl Rock recently shared a video, claiming that pirated DVDs of many Indian films including ‘Dhurandhar’ are being sold openly in a popular market in Karachi.

It was told in the video that the pirated copy of ‘Dhurandhar’ is available for only 50 Pakistani rupees (about 16 Indian rupees). Karl also mentioned in his video that Ranveer Singh’s family ties were from Sindh and his grandparents had come to India from Pakistan at the time of partition.

Millions of downloads in 12 days!

According to reports, the film was reportedly downloaded illegally more than 2 million times in Pakistan within just 12 days of its release.

The story of the film depicts sensitive issues like terrorism and internal conflict in Pakistan, due to which it was banned there. Despite this, the audience’s interest did not diminish.

As soon as this video went viral on X (formerly Twitter), Indian users gave a variety of reactions. Some wondered, “Is it still the era of DVDs?” So some raised the question, “Is the government there not able to stop it?”

Meanwhile, discussions are also going on regarding ‘Dhurandhar Part 2’. It is being said that Ranveer Singh’s character will be seen on an even bigger level in the sequel, where he will be seen fighting to become the ‘King of Lyari’.
