Every human should experience ‘miracle of mind’: Sadhguru on World Meditation Day

Coimbatore: In a historic move, the United Nations has declared December 21st as World Meditation Day, recognising the transformative power of meditation. Sadhguru, Founder of Isha Foundation, has shared a message, highlighting its critical relevance in today’s world.

Taking to X, Sadhguru said, “Meditation is that process through which you learn to operate this mind so that it functions as a miracle. It is commendable that the United Nations has recognized meditation as a tool to create mental health, emotional stability and balance at a time when experts are predicting that a mental health pandemic is in the making. It is my wish and my blessing that every human being on the planet experiences the Miracle of Mind. Let’s make it happen.”

“The declaration of December 21st as World Meditation Day is significant as one of the greatest problems that humanity is facing today is that of mental stability, balance, and health,” said Sadhguru in the video message. “It is commendable that the United Nations has recognized meditation as a tool to create mental health, emotional stability, and balance, particularly at a time when experts predict a mental health pandemic.”

Sadhguru emphasised the role of meditation in unlocking the potential of the human mind, calling it “the greatest miracle” that many unfortunately experience as a source of distress due to a lack of proper tools. “Meditation is that process through which you learn to operate this mind so that it functions as a miracle.”

As part of a global campaign, Sadhguru also announced the launch of the Miracle of Mind App set to debut early next year. The app will offer a simple meditative process that can be done anywhere to bring a sense of peace, joy and exuberance into your life.
