Explosion in Vedanta power plant in Chhattisgarh, 10 dead, many injured

A major accident took place at Vedanta Power Plant located in Singhitarai area of ​​Sakti district of Chhattisgarh. In fact, the horrific boiler explosion that occurred here shook the entire area. So far, information about the death of 10 people has come to light in this accident. While many others are said to be seriously injured.

How did the accident happen?

According to the information received, during work in the plant suddenly there was a massive explosion in the boiler. The explosion was so strong that workers working nearby got hit by it. After the incident, there was chaos on the spot and people started running here and there to save their lives.

Treatment of the injured continues

After the accident, the injured were immediately admitted to Jindal Fortis Hospital and Raigarh Medical College Hospital. Here a special team of doctors is treating these injured. The condition of some is said to be critical.

According to the information received, a total of 21 laborers have been brought to the hospital in injured condition. While the condition of many is said to be critical. 7 people died during treatment while 3 workers died in the plant itself. In this way the death toll has reached 10.

Administration statement

Giving information on this incident, Prafulla Thakur said that 10 people have died in the boiler explosion and about 15 people are injured. The administration has immediately started relief and rescue operations.

Such accidents have happened before also

This is not the first time that a boiler explosion has claimed lives. In March 2025, 3 workers were killed in a boiler explosion in a paper mill in Bhojpur area of ​​Ghaziabad. The explosion in that accident was so powerful that the workers fell several feet away and were seriously injured.
