Explosion in moving bike in Sehore, youth carrying explosives dies

A 30-year-old youth died due to an explosion in a moving bike on Ichhawar-Ashta Road in Sehore. The young man used to work in blasting. Police and forensic team are investigating the case.

Madhya Pradesh: A very horrific accident happened on Sunday morning in Sehore district of Madhya Pradesh. There was a sudden massive explosion in a moving bike near Ramnagar village on Ichhawar-Ashta road. The sound of the explosion was heard far away, due to which the people nearby got scared. In the accident, the youth riding the bike died on the spot.

According to eyewitnesses, the explosion was so strong that both the legs of the young man were completely damaged. The bike caught fire and got completely burnt. Burnt bike parts and debris were scattered all around on the road.

The deceased youth used to do blasting work.

According to information received from the police, the deceased has been identified as Sukhram Barela (30), resident of Jamli village. Sukhram used to work in blasting wells by profession. On Sunday morning he was going towards Ramnagar on his bike (MP 37 MN 4489).

According to sources, he was carrying heavy explosive material. On the way, suddenly there was an explosion in the bike, due to which Sukhram did not get time to recover and he died.

There was chaos after the incident

After the blast, nearby villagers reached the spot. Seeing the burnt bike and the dead body of the youth on the road, people immediately informed the police. As soon as the information was received, Ichhawar police station reached the spot and cordoned off the area and secured it.

Police sent the body for postmortem and started collecting necessary evidence from the spot. Considering the seriousness of the accident, a forensic team was also called, which collected samples from the spot.

In the initial investigation, the police suspect that the explosive material present in the bike could be a detonator. However, police officials say that this has not been officially confirmed yet.

Ichhawar police station in-charge Pankaj Wadekar said that the material that caused the explosion will become clear only after the forensic report comes. At present, a thorough investigation is being done regarding the transportation and use of illegal explosive material.

There is an atmosphere of panic in the area after this incident. At the same time, the administration has indicated to be strict regarding safe transportation of explosive material.
