‘Fadnavis can go to Centre, chances of getting new CM’, claims Sanjay Raut
The stir in Maharashtra politics has once again intensified. Firebrand leader of Shiv Sena (UBT) Sanjay Raut on Friday made a big political blast by claiming that the state may soon see major upheavals. Speaking to the media during his visit to Nagpur, Raut hinted that if there is a reshuffle in the central and state cabinets in the coming months, the role of Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis may change.
Is Devendra Fadnavis going to Delhi?
Sanjay Raut said with great confidence that if there is an expansion or reshuffle of the cabinet at the Centre, then Devendra Fadnavis can be given a bigger responsibility at the Center to ‘serve the country’. He further said that in such a situation, Maharashtra may get a new Chief Minister, who may be a senior minister from BJP. This statement of Raut has become a topic of discussion in the political circles of the state whether BJP is really preparing to change the equations of power.
Invitation to RSS through ‘Ram Raksha Andolan’
During his press conference, Raut also gave information about Shiv Sena’s (UBT) ‘Ram Raksha Andolan’ to be held in Nagpur on July 18. This demonstration is being organized in protest against the alleged theft of offerings in Ayodhya Ram temple. Raut said that he has also sent an invitation to Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat for this movement. He said, “If Bhagwat ji cannot come himself, then he must send one of his representatives.” Along with this, leaders of BJP and other political parties have also been invited to participate in it.
Targeted at government and opposition
Talking about the upcoming monsoon session of Parliament and the issue of delimitation, Raut supported the demand of Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge. He said that there should be an all-party meeting on increasing the number of Lok Sabha seats to 850 and the process of delimitation.
Along with this, while referring to Sonam Wangchuk’s hunger strike at Jantar Mantar, Raut accused the ruling party of insensitivity. He asked the government whether the reports about the deteriorating health of Sonam Wangchuk and other protesters are not reaching the Prime Minister, Home Minister and President? He sarcastically said that hardly anyone in the Modi cabinet has the courage to stand in his support.
