Fahadh Faasil to star in Lal Jose's adaptation of KN Prasanth's novel Ponam

Details on the start of shooting for the I will put it adaptation are awaited. Earlier this year, Lal Jose revealed that Santhosh Sivan will be the cinematographer for the film, while the KGF production banner Hombale Films is also involved in this project.

Fahadh was last seen in Bougainvilleadirected by Amal Neerad. The Avesham actor has a busy slate of projects across multiple languages. In Malayalam, he is currently working on Althaf Salim’s romantic comedy Odum Pouring Chadum Pouring and will also appear in debutant Roy’s Karate Chandran and Vipin Das’ gangster comedy, alongside Tamil actor SJ Suryah. Fahadh also has films lined up with directors Jeethu Joseph and Renji Panicker. In Tamil, he will star in Mareesan alongside Vadivelu, while his Telugu projects include Pushpa 2: The Rule, Oxygen, and Don’t Trouble The Trouble.

Lal Jose’s last directorial was the 2022 film Solamante Theneechakal.
