Failed as a husband on the great actor, Annu Kapoor revealed the painful truth of Om Puri and his sister’s marriage

News India Live, Digital Desk: Veteran Bollywood actor Annu Kapoor is often known for his outspoken statements. Recently, in an interview, he has made such revelations about the relationship between late actor Om Puri and his sister Seema Kapoor, which has created a stir in the film industry. Annu Kapoor praised Om Puri’s acting but in his personal life he described him as a ‘cheator’ with his sister. He shared how his sister had once faced deep pain and betrayal alone. ‘He was a great actor, but could not become a good human being’. Annu Kapoor, in a conversation with Siddharth Kannan, said that Om Puri was a phenomenal artist and there was no one else like him. He said, “Om Puri was a great actor, but that’s a different matter. When he became someone’s husband, he cheated on that woman (my sister). I am the brother of that woman, whose life was ruined because of this affair.” Annu Kapoor became emotional and said that she still regrets the fact that her sister could not get the support she deserved. During the interview, Annu Kapoor shared the bitter memories of that period of being ‘cheated’ during pregnancy and the grief of losing the child. He told that Seema Kapoor and Om Puri were married in 1991, but this relationship broke down within a few months. Revelation of deception: When Seema Kapoor was pregnant, she came to know that Om Puri was having an affair with another woman (Nandita Puri). Deep shock: Due to this deception, Seema suffered mental and physical trauma, due to which she lost her unborn child. Example of selfishness: Annu Kapoor told that during the divorce Om Puri had given Rs 6 lakh as compensation. But when she lost the child, Om Puri sent only 25 thousand rupees through his secretary, which Seema rejected for the sake of her self-respect. In the last moments, sister played the role of ‘humanity’. Annu Kapoor made another shocking revelation that Om Puri had spent the last 10 years of his life in a lot of trouble. When his body became weak and he was surrounded from all sides, he came back to Seema Kapoor. Forgiveness and Service: Seema Kapoor showed a big heart and forgave him and served him completely in his last days. Annu Kapoor’s anger: Annu admitted that he was angry at his sister that why did she allow the person who had given her so much pain a place in her life again. However, today he has no enmity with anyone and wishes for the well-being of Om Puri’s son.
