One such inspiring story is that of Haryana’s daughter Nidhi Siwach, who fulfilled her dream despite setbacks, family pressure and difficult circumstances. The daughter who was told that if she did not succeed, she would be married, on the basis of her hard work and courage, she passed the UPSC exam and became an IAS officer.

Nidhi Siwach’s story is an example of struggle, patience and self-confidence. He even left his job to prepare for UPSC. His initial two attempts failed, but he did not give up. She achieved success in the third attempt and became an IAS officer by securing an excellent rank in the country’s prestigious civil services examination.

The journey started from Gurugram

Nidhi Siwach, a resident of Gurugram, Haryana, was clear about her career since childhood. He had told in an interview that he had dreamed of becoming an engineer since class 10th. After 12th, he took admission in Mechanical Engineering.

Her family was also surprised by her decision to choose mechanical engineering, as this field was generally less chosen for girls. But Nidhi decided to pursue the field of her choice.

After completing engineering in 2015, he started working in Hyderabad. After working for about two years, he dreamed of joining civil services.

Left job and started preparing for UPSC

It was not easy for him to prepare for UPSC along with a job. Seeing the paucity of time and pressure of studies, she decided to leave the job and completely started preparing for the Civil Services Examination.

However, this decision was not easy. The family was already worried about his career decisions. Meanwhile, the pressure of marriage also started increasing on him.

Family gave last chance

Nidhi had told that her family had started asking her for marriage. He believed that he had given a lot of time to his career and now he should move forward.

At such a time, Nidhi asked her father for one last chance for UPSC. Her father laid down a condition that if she was not successful then the decision of marriage would be considered. This condition was kept for every stage of prelims, mains and interview. After this Nidhi started preparing with full hard work. He dedicated himself completely to his studies.

Success in third attempt after failure twice

Nidhi had made two attempts for UPSC during her job, but both times she was not successful. After this she changed her strategy and entered the field with full preparation for the third attempt.

He prepared through self study without any coaching. First of all, he understood the entire UPSC syllabus, selected the necessary books and worked on his weaknesses.

His hard work paid off in the third attempt and he succeeded in the UPSC Civil Services Examination. She obtained All India Rank 83 and became an IAS officer.

Achieved success by learning from failures

The success of Nidhi Siwach is an example of the fact that even after failure, if a person remains honest towards his goal, then success is definitely achieved. He recognized the mistakes of his first two attempts and corrected them and created history in the third attempt.
