VIDEO: Famous bhajan singer Lagnajita Chakraborty attacked while singing devotional song in West Bengal, accused Mehboob Malik arrested

Kolkata. Famous bhajan singer Lagnajita Chakraborty was allegedly molested during her performance at an event in West Bengal. Purba Medinipur SP Mithun Dey called the incident unfortunate and said that they have arrested the absconding accused. The accused is being produced in the arrested court, where we will demand remand of the accused from the court.

The same work that was done to suppress Hindu and Hindu Bengali culture on the other side of the border i.e. in Bangladesh is being done on this side of the border i.e. in West Bengal.

While giving a complaint to the police, singer Lagnajita Chakraborty said that she had started her show at 7 pm on Saturday evening. Around eight o’clock, when she was talking to the public after singing the song Jaago Maa, we suddenly saw that a gentleman was running towards the stage. In the blink of an eye, he came on stage with us and asked Laganjita to sing a secular song. When I refused, he was going to kill me, when the people present there caught him. Even after all this, people were pulling him away, he was still shouting and saying, enough of you, wake up mother, now sing something secular.

SP Mithun Dey said that a case of alleged misbehavior and physical harassment had come to light with famous playback singer Lagnajita Chakraborty for singing a devotional song at a private program in Kolkata on Saturday. The accused Mehboob Malik has been arrested in this case. After questioning he is being presented in the court. Will demand remand of the accused from the court. Let us tell you that Mehboob Malik had organized this event. SP said that a departmental inquiry has been started against the in-charge of Bhagwanpur police station and another officer due to increasing negligence. If negligence is found, strict action will be taken against them.
