Fanaa Memories: Aamir will keep you in his lap for 6 months, when Aditya Chopra warned Kunal Kohli about Aamir Khan
News India Live, Digital Desk: The 2006 film ‘Fanaa’ was a blockbuster at the box office, but director Kunal Kohli was very nervous before starting this film. Recently during an interview, Kunal revealed that when he decided to cast Aamir Khan for the film, producer Aditya Chopra gave him an advice which is memorable even today. That ‘warning’ of Aditya Chopra According to Kunal Kohli, when he told Aditya Chopra that he wanted to cast Aamir Khan for the role of ‘Rehaan’, Adi (Aditya) laughingly said: Aamir ke pas ja to rahe. Yes, but remember… he will keep you sitting in his lap for the next 6 months. He will ask questions on every little thing, understand the scene and will not move ahead until he is satisfied.” Aditya Chopra meant that Aamir Khan, as per his ‘Mr. Perfectionist’ tag, would discuss the script and details of the film so much that the director would have to spend all his time with him. Kunal Kohli said that Aditya Chopra’s words proved to be absolutely true. Working with Aamir was like a workshop. There was a barrage of questions: Aamir wanted to know the ‘why’ behind every word of the script and every action of the character. Preparation: Even before the shooting of the film started, Aamir worked for months on the body language and poetry of ‘Rehaan’ (double character of a guide and a terrorist). Chemistry with Kajol: Kajol and Aamir were coming together for the first time after 1997’s ‘Ishq’. It was because of this deep preparation that the chemistry between him and Kajol could look so impressive on screen. Some unheard things related to ‘Fanaa’: Shooting location: The story of the film was in Kashmir, but due to security reasons, most of it was shot in the snowy plains of Poland. Kajol’s comeback: Through this film, Kajol made a great comeback in Bollywood after a long break after becoming a mother. Music: This was the last major film’s songs composed by the Jatin-Lalit duo. ‘Chand Samidhan’ and ‘Mere Haath Mein’ are chartbusters even today.
