Fans Go Berserk At Akshay Kumar’s Noida Event; Climb Escalators, Break Barricades

Mumbai: Ahead of the release of his much-awaited horror-comedy ‘Bhooth Bangla’, Akshay Kumar visited Gaur City Mall in Greater Noida for a promotional event, accompanied by co-stars Rajpal Yadav and Wamiqa Gabbi.

What was expected to be a routine promotional event turned chaotic as an unexpectedly large crowd gathered at the venue.

Videos circulating on social media show fans crammed into tight spaces, all trying to catch a glimpse of Akshay. The tension grew as the crowd surged forward, creating a stampede-like situation.

With limited space inside the mall, several fans were seen climbing escalator handrails to get a better view from above.

On the ground floor, where the actor was interacting with the audience, barricades were pushed aside as people tried to move closer.

Amid the commotion, Akshay remained calm and composed, continuing to engage with fans despite the chaotic situation.

Directed by Priyadarshan, the film boasts of a strong ensemble cast including Tabu, Wamiqa Gabbi, Paresh Rawal and Rajpal in key roles.

Last month, Akshay revealed the first-look motion poster of ‘Bhooth Bangla’, giving fans a peek into its quirky yet spooky vibe.

The actor was seen in a bold, tantrik-inspired look, seated on a throne decorated with eerie, demonic faces. Wearing black sunglasses and multiple rudraksha beads, Akshay was shown holding a rosary while letting out a scream, creating a visual that was both dramatic and laced with humour.

The poster was captioned: “Dus ko denge das-tak, intezar karo tab tak… Let the fun begin!”, hinting at the film’s unique blend of horror and comedy.

Backed by Ekta Kapoor and Shobha Kapoor under Balaji Motion Pictures, along with Akshay’s Cape of Good Films, the movie is scheduled to be released in theatres on April 17.
