Fare for Bhagalpur Patna Vande Bharat will start from just Rs 800. Deoghar will be nonstop.
Traveling from Patna to Deoghar is now going to become even more accessible and comfortable, as Vande Bharat train will run from Patna to Deoghar via Bhagalpur. This service will be especially convenient for devotees who wish to have darshan of Baba Baidyanath Jyotirlinga. The schedule and stoppages of this train have been prepared keeping in mind the convenience of the devotees.
With this initiative of Railways, devotees will get an opportunity to go from Patna to Deoghar for worship and return in just one day. Bhagalpur DM has informed that preparations for the operation of Vande Bharat train are in full swing, and a proposal for this has been sent to the Railway Ministry, Malda Division and Tourism Department of Bihar Government.
Opportunity to fill water in Sultanganj
A special feature of this journey is that the train will stop for 30 minutes at Sultanganj station. Its purpose is that devotees can fill Ganga water here, which they will take to Deoghar and use in worship. From Sultanganj, the train will depart for Deoghar via Bhagalpur, where the passengers will be able to start their journey back after offering prayers within three hours.
At the Vikramshila Mahotsav, DM of Bhagalpur confirmed that preparations are underway to build a yard in Sultanganj under this scheme, but at present the lack of yard remains a challenge. This will be the second Vande Bharat train for Bhagalpur, which is already running between Bhagalpur-Howrah.

- Travel time from Patna to Deoghar will be approximately 5 hours.

Railways has not yet announced the exact fare. However, fares for premium trains like Vande Bharat usually range between ₹800 to ₹1200 (chair car) and ₹1600 to ₹2500 (executive chair car).
