Fare of electric AC buses reduced by five rupees, approval given in the meeting of Lucknow City Transport Services
Lucknow, Read In the 50th meeting of Lucknow City Transport Services, the proposal to reduce the fare of electric AC buses was approved. Every distance slab has been reduced by Rs 5. Due to this, the minimum fare has been reduced from Rs 25 to Rs 20 and the maximum fare has been reduced from Rs 75 to Rs 70. According to officials, the new fare will be updated in the machines in the next 2–3 days and with this the new fare will come into effect. The fares of AC double decker buses of the Transport Corporation have also already been reduced. Fares have been reduced on Ayodhya Dham, Barabanki and Safdarganj routes from Awadh bus stand located in Kamta.
In the meeting, the proposal to issue e-tender again after reviewing the conditions of 40 bus shelters built under Lucknow Smart City was also approved. Apart from this, the auction of three old and condemned buses running in city transport has been approved. These buses often broke down, due to which there was a risk of accidents. It has been decided to auction them at 10 percent less than the reserve price.
