Farhan Akhtar, one of Bollywood's most versatile talents, turns 51 today, amid rumors that he and his wife Shibani Dandekar are expecting their first child. The news started spreading after a media portal published the claims. However, veteran actress Shabana Azmi and Farhan's stepmother have strongly denied this speculation. Speaking to ETimes, he clarified, “There is no truth in this.”
Farhan celebrated his birthday in a grand manner with a lavish party hosted by his sister, filmmaker Zoya Akhtar. This occasion was even more special because it was also the birthday of Farah Khan and Anusha Dandekar, both of whom also share the same birthday with Farhan. Zoya shared a candid moment from the ceremony on Instagram, captioning it “Bring it in”, depicting a night of joy, laughter and togetherness with close friends and family.
A few days before her birthday, Farhan and Shibani celebrated the New Year with their close friends. In several pictures on Instagram, the couple was seen sharing a romantic kiss as they welcomed 2025. Other photos from the night showed the two having fun on the dance floor, showing off their love and happiness.
Shibani recently talked about facing online criticism during the initial days of her relationship with Farhan. Speaking on Rhea Chakraborty's podcast, he said, “People used to call me 'love jihad' and 'gold digger'. But I didn’t let it affect me.”
Professionally, this year is going to be quite busy for Farhan as his military-action film 120 Bahadur will be releasing on November 21, 2025. He is also producing Don 3 starring Ranveer Singh and Kiara Advani, further cementing his place in the top league of Bollywood.
