Due to his sudden demise, there is a wave of mourning not only in Bareilly district but also in the politics of the state. The special thing is that he had celebrated his birthday just a day before his death. The news of the demise of the MLA who had accepted congratulations on Thursday shocked everyone.

The incident happened on Friday afternoon. A meeting of Livestock Minister Dharampal Singh was going on at the Circuit House in Bareilly. Many public representatives and officials were present in the meeting. During this time, Dr. Shyam Bihari Lal suddenly felt severe chest pain. Initially he considered it normal, but within some time his health started deteriorating rapidly. The people present on the spot immediately called doctors and an ambulance took him to Medicity, a private hospital in the city.

As soon as he reached the hospital, the doctors started his treatment. All necessary medical efforts including CPR were done, but there was no improvement in his condition. After some time the doctors confirmed his death. As soon as this news came out, the atmosphere in the Circuit House and the entire district became sad.

After the death of Faridpur MLA Dr. Shyam Bihari Lal, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and former CM Akhilesh Yadav also expressed grief over his demise.

Dr. Shyam Bihari Lal was known as a simple, friendly and down to earth leader. He used to communicate directly with the common people and listened and raised the problems of the area seriously. He had a distinct identity in Faridpur assembly constituency. He was elected BJP MLA for the second consecutive time.

He was respected in politics as well as in the world of education. He had been a professor at Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Rohilkhand University. Teachers, employees and students of the university are also in mourning due to his death.
