Farmer awareness seminar organized under Sahakar Se Samriddhi Cooperative Week campaign

Bareilly/ On the occasion of Cooperative Week, a farmers’ meeting and awareness program based on “Save Mother Earth Campaign” and “Nano Fertilizer: Importance and Uses” was organized in development block Bithri Chainpur. The chief guest of the program was Assistant Commissioner and Assistant Registrar Cooperative, Bareilly Brijesh Singh Parihar. Area Officer IFFCO, Kartik Singh, Harish Gangwar, Manager IFFCO MC, Krishna Mohan, Additional District Cooperative Officer Sudhish Gautam, Additional District Cooperative Officer and Committee Secretary Sankalp were present.

After the launch of the program, Field Officer IFFCO Shri Kartik Singh gave information to the farmers about increase in crop production, reduction in cost and better quality through the use of alternative fertilizers, as well as negative effects on soil, water and air due to excessive use of conventional fertilizers as well as decreasing soil fertility and inspired them to use Concertia to increase the number of microorganisms in the soil.

Farmers were also given detailed information about the characteristics of nano fertilizers, method of use in different crops, appropriate time for use, correct quantity etc. Harish Gangwar gave information related to crop protection and made the farmers aware about the Farmers Security Insurance Scheme.

Chief guest Brijesh Singh Parihar, in his address, while highlighting the importance of Cooperative Week, said that cooperative societies are institutions dedicated to the interests of farmers and are continuously benefiting the farmers through various farmer welfare schemes. Besides, farmers were urged to use nano fertilizers instead of balanced fertilizers and were informed about the facilities provided by the committees. Whose problems were heard and all the farmers were requested to get Farmer ID made.
