Farmers in Nohar raised demand for relief package on crop loss, administration gave assurance

Bharatiya Kisan Union, Nohar has raised the demand for a relief package regarding the huge damage caused to crops due to hailstorm and unseasonal rain. The farmers submitted a memorandum to the Chief Minister through Naib Tehsildar demanding immediate Girdawari and compensation to the affected farmers.

In the memorandum, the farmers said that the crops have been ruined due to the sudden weather conditions, due to which the farmers are facing huge financial losses. In such a situation, the government should assess the loss as soon as possible and provide appropriate relief.

Along with this, a demand has also been made to provide maximum claims to the farmers who have taken crop insurance, so that they can get financial support.

Those who submitted the memorandum included Bharatiya Kisan Union President Rajendra Sihag, General Secretary Prithvi Singh, Pratap Singh, Vice President Gangaram Beniwal, District Executive Member Prem Godara, Khuiyan President Begraj Sharma and other workers.

During the conversation with the farmer representatives, the officials assured that the crop loss assessment (Girdawari) will be done immediately and the report will be sent to the state government, so that the farmers can get relief soon.

Following this demand of the farmers, the administration has come into action and it is expected that action will be taken soon.
