Farooq Abdullah had come to the Royal Park Banquet Hall along with State Deputy CM Surinder Chaudhary and Chief Minister’s Political Advisor Nasir Aslam Wani. All three had come to attend the wedding ceremony of a senior lawyer’s daughter. Meanwhile, Kamal came from behind and tried to target Farooq. The security forces were quick to push Kamal and caught him immediately. In this scuffle, a bullet was fired, which directly hit Deputy CM Chaudhary. Deputy CM has suffered minor injuries due to shrapnel hit. The doctors and security personnel present on the spot immediately provided first aid to him. Doctors say that his injuries are not serious.

Kamal was planning for 20 years

Police say that the accused is a resident of Purani Mandi area of ​​Jammu city. Inquiries are being made about him. Accused Kamal Singh told the police during initial interrogation that he was planning to kill Farooq Abdullah for almost 20 years. However, the information as to why he wanted to do this has not been revealed yet. Kamal says that he got a chance to kill Farooq at the wedding on Wednesday but he could not.
