Attractive orders on Quick Commerce platform in 2024, Delhi customer spent Rs 20 lakh in a year

New Delhi: The love of the people of the country for the features of the quick delivery platform not only continued to grow in 2024, but there has also been an increase in the attractive spending patterns of the customers. A report by quick commerce company Swiggy Instamart has some interesting facts that show a surge in orders beyond groceries, with users also ordering products ranging from makeup and toys to vacuum cleaners. Delhi and Dehradun have topped the list of spenders, with each customer spending more than Rs 20 lakh on Swiggy Instamart, the report said.

The company's report said that the big spenders are from Delhi and Dehradun, who spent more than Rs 20 lakh on Swiggy Instamart this year. Their most popular items included essentials such as flour, milk and oil, indicating a strong preference for kitchen goods.

Figures from January 1 to December 1, 2024

The top five ordered items across the country were milk, curd, dosa batter, chips and cold drinks, the report said. Interestingly, one in every 15 orders included milk, while one in every five orders included fruits or vegetables. The report, based on data from January 1 to December 1, 2024, highlights interesting consumer spending patterns and trends across the country.

Hyderabad's Mango Mania was proof of this, where a user spent Rs 35,000 on mangoes in May. On Dhanteras, a user from Ahmedabad created a record by spending Rs 8,32,032 on gold coins. Meanwhile, the rest of India took Diwali cleaning seriously and spent over Rs 45 lakh on brooms in a single day. Cultural festivals also drove significant demand.
